Jets’ Sam Darnold quarantined with opposing QBs because of coronavirus

It began as an offseason quarterback retreat to work on development. A few weeks later, Sam Darnold, Kyle Allen and Josh Allen are still in Orange County, Calif. together, social distancing and quarantining amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The three have been there since the Super Bowl, working out with Jordan Palmer, their throwing coach. But with leases about to run out, and the virus showing no signs of slowing down, the three young quarterbacks may have to get used to each other more than they imagined.

“I might have to crash at Sam’s,” Josh Allen told SI.com.

The two AFC East quarterbacks and close friends should have plenty to discuss after facing each other twice this past season. Kyle Allen, meanwhile, was recently traded to the Redskins. There’s no telling when he’ll meet his new teammates.

But at least he has some company during this unprecedented halt in everyday life as we knew it.
