Ex-Minneapolis cops will appear in court to face George Floyd charges

Derek Chauvin, the ex-Minneapolis police officer accused of killing George Floyd, will make a court appearance Monday, along with the three other officers charged in Floyd’s death.

Chauvin, who is facing second-degree murder charges, will appear via video, according to CNN.

Tou Thao, J. Kueng and Thomas Lane will appear in person on aiding and abetting murder charges.

None of the four men have entered pleas.

Chauvin and Thao remain in custody, while the other two are out on bail.

The hearing is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. CDT.

Floyd died on May 25 after Chauvin was caught on video kneeling on his neck. Lane and Kueng helped restrain Floyd, while Thao stood by.
