"See The Man That Spent 21 Years in Prison Over Wrongful Conviction"- CJMR Founder Speaks

CJMR is the abbreviation for Centre for Justice, Mercy and Reconciliation headed by Pastor Hezekiah Olujobi in Ibadan. The organisation has help over 350 prisoners to gain freedom without asking for a dime.

Today, Olujobi shares another beautiful story of a prisoner who has spent 21 years in prison over wrongful conviction.

This is how he narrates the story on his Facebook page, “We left Ibadan at 7.10am in company of Prince Brutus Bamiteko, onche Jonathan inalegwu, Mrs. Adesoye Folake and myself to Lagos. We arrived Kirikiri at 2.45 pm. We left Kirikiri Maximum Security Correctional Service at 4.12pm. On our way back with Olushina Ajayi, we decided to have a stop over to eat at a place and we ordered food, he insisted that he is not feeling like eating anything, he refused to eat. He said “is like I have eating and my stomach is filled up”.Nothing like freedom.

“This is 8.50pm we are still on the road, now at around Ajebo. We thank God we had a very good weather. We had favor from the Correctional officers. God made provision beyond our expectation. Today 30/06/2020 Olushina Ajayi gained his freedom after 21years of injustice of wrongful conviction. CJMR drew the attention of the Governor Seyi Makinde to the judgement that nolified the conviction and the Governor ordered his release.

“The Lord bless everyone who made it possible for us. We say thank you for your prayers. God will never get tired of your complain. Watch out for further repost,” he concluded.
