Don’t Blame Akufo-Addo Of Failed Corruption Fight; Blame Institutions – NPP Communication Director


Director of Communication of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) Yaw Buaben Asamoah says Ghanaians should not blame President Akufo-Addo over failed corruption fight but rather include appropriate institutions in the discuss.

“We cannot continue to say the president, the president and ignore the institutions.” He said.

He has expressed his view on GHOne Tv on Tuesday 15 September, 2020.

The topic of the session of the show was centered on Fight Against Corruption .

Mr. Buaben Asamoah said the Akufo-Addo led NPP government is going to strengthen the office of the Special Prosecutor to fight against corruption in the country. “We are going to strengthen the office of the Special Prosecutor.” He said.


Again, the Communication Director also added that the NPP government will resources appropriate institutions to fight against corruption. “We will resource all institutions to help fight corruption including the judiciary.”

Moreover, Mr Buaben Asamoah said the NPP government is very transparent and give accountability to Ghanaians. “We are very transparent” He added.

Finally, he also count the media is a major stockholder in the fight against corruption and asked them to play their role well to expose corrupt persons in the country. “The media has a role to play in the fight against corruption”
