Ghana Election 2020: Ashaiman MP Lied On His Missing Name From The Voters Register – EC


The Electoral Commission has rejected the allegation of 21,000 voters names  missing in the Ashaiman constituency by the Member of Parliament Ernest Henry Norbey.

Mr Ernest Henry Norgbey claimed that 21,000 names including his own have been deleted from the voter register in Ashaiman in the ongoing exhibition exercise.

But in an interview with Citi FM monitored by , the Public Relations Officer of the Electoral Commission, Madam Sylvia Annoh stated that although she has his doubt over the claims made by the Ashaiman MP, there are processes in place to address such issues.


“You are mentioning a very huge figure, 21,000. So let those individuals go to the centres, if they go, and they are denied, they will be given inclusion forms if their names are not in the exemptions list or the multiple lists for them to be included on the voters’ register,” she noted.
