‘Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry’ to Premiere in Theaters, on Apple TV+ This February

She’s got multiple hit singles, five Grammys, two Guinness World Records, and now, Billie Eilish is about to have her very own documentary. The Gen Z icon is the focus of an upcoming doc titled Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry, which is set to premiere in theaters and on Apple TV+ in February 2021, Deadline reports.

Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry comes from Apple Original Films in association with Interscope Films, Darkroom, This Machine and Lighthouse Management & Media. The music doc is directed by R.J. Cutler, whose previous work includes the Vogue documentary The September Issue and The World According to Dick Cheney. The outlet reported last year that Apple made an eight-figure deal, rumored to be around $25 million, to take the documentary off the table.

Eilish’s career began with her first single, “Ocean Eyes,” released in 2015, but she exploded in popularity with the 2019 release of her debut studio album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” At just 17 years old, Eilish took home Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards in January, and also performed at the Oscars earlier this year. One of her most recent singles released in November 2019, “Everything I Wanted,” landed the young singer her second top-ten hit in the U.S.

While Eilish is getting her own doc, she’s also set to appear in another upcoming film. Her music will be featured in the latest James Bond installment, No Time to Die. Eilish recorded the film’s title track, which was written and produced with her brother, and became the youngest artist to ever write and perform a James Bond song. The single was released in February, but the film has since been pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
