Nigerian Air Force Bombards Boko Haram, ISWAP leaders, Guards During Meeting

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jets have set bombs on Boko Haram and Islamic State West African Province members (ISWAP) at the Lake Chad axis.

The Nigerian Air Force relied on intelligence that had been provided to carry out the swoop on the meeting location of the terrorists. They bombarded camps in Sabon Tumbu, Jibularam and Kwalaram.

The joint airstrikes destroyed strongholds of the sects’ commanders and their guards in their various loactions.

An officer spoke with PRNigeria and disclosed that the spiritual base and training camps around the fringes of Lake Chad were all dismantled.

He said: “Their leaders, including Ali Chakkar and other top ISWAP commanders, were holding a meeting when the attacks were launched.

“The precision-guided airstrikes coordinated by the Air Task Force Command resulted in the killing of very large numbers of ISWAP and Boko Haram terrorists.”

NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet also corroborated the news.

He said: “We don’t differentiate between Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists as we successfully launched the devastating intelligence-led aerial attacks targeting the terrorists in those locations”.

In other news, Following the death of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, the word for word translation of what leader of Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), Abu Musab Albarnawi said on the death of Shekau is making rounds online.

In audio making rounds on social media, ISWAP leader Albarnawi described Shekau as a corrupt and disobedient person who led many astray. Albarnawi explained that Shekau decided to kill himself than suffer humiliation as he detonated an explosive.
