Burna Boy has thrown shades at Davido, few moments his ‘Twice As Tall’ album was nominated for the Best Global Music Album category of the year.
Burna boy who could not contain his joy after his album was nominated for the second time in a row in that category, took to his Twitter page and wrote “Another one, #TwiceAsTall”.
However, he trooped to his Snapchat page and posted some crafty shade to Davido after none of his music got nominated for the Grammy’s Awards 2021. He wrote: “Some people can perform but can’t sing, so people can sing and perform. Quality overhype”.
Burna boy then deleted this few minutes after he posted it.
If Burna Boy wins this category, he will become Nigeria’s first Grammy winner since Sikiru Adepoju won with his Planet Drum over 10 years ago.
Grammy Award is an award presented by The Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry. The trophy depicts a gilded gramophone.
