A Catholic Priest with the Diocese of Makurdi, Rev. Fr. Solomon Ukeyima, has donated a house to a 90-year-old woman, Mama Agatha Kwasena.
He is a priest with St. Augustine’s Catholic Parish Demekpe, Makurdi, the Benue State Capital.
Mama Agatha like the biblical widow’s mite had sometimes in 2020 paid a visit to console the father Ukeyima after he was robbed.
She had taken along with her six eggs on the visit which she presented to Fr. Ukeyima.
Consequently, he said that motivated him to make a promise to God that he was going to build a place for the woman before she passed on.
Speaking with Legit, he said: “Mama Planted love and harvested Love. It all started when armed robbers invaded the Father’s house. Though not my parishioner, she felt terribly bad and visited with 6 native eggs to console me.
The gesture touched me deeply because she was not my parishioner. I was touched deeper when I offered her money for transport and she turned it down that I should be the only one receiving now. She is about 90years of age and is bent and walks a distance with the aid of a stick.”
Fr. Ukeyima fondly called “Tor KSS” had also shared photos of the house presentation to mama.
He captioned it, “Today is a testimony of a recent miracle: A House Built By Six-Eggs.”
He is the founder of the popular Tiv Cultural Festival, “Kyegh Sha Shwa” (KSS). KSS is an annual event that is designed to foster peace, unity and cultural renaissance of Tiv cultural values.
