Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has been named Ajax Player of the Year for the third time in a row despite already signing for English clubside Chelsea.
The playmaker was outstanding for Erik ten Hag’s side with a contribution of nine goals and 18 assists across all competitions this season before the Dutch Eredivisie was annulled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ziyech who joined Ajax from league rivals Twente in 2016 and during his four-year spell at the club has won the Player of the Year in the 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
The Dutch club made the announcement when they put out a tweet from the club’s official tweet handle.
Meanwhile, before his €40 move to Chelsea, he has provided 49 goals and 71 assists in the last four seasons at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
