A Lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KuTU) Dr. Kwarteng Forkuo has charged government appointees especially MMDCEs to put proper measures in place to avoid another lockdown in the country following a recent increase in coronavirus cases.
Covid-19 cases have increased after 2022 general elections with fears by a section of Ghanaians the the latest surge in figures can lead to another lockdown.

Dr. Kwarteng Forkuo in an interview with Abusua Fm Morning Show hosted by Kwadwo Marfo monitored by MyNewsGh.com said too many irresponsible people are occupying responsible positions in Ghana reason for the current increase in the numbers.
According to him, with responsible leadership, government can manage Covid-19 cases to avoid further spread and a possible lockdown.
“MMDCEs and government appointees should put measures in place to reduce the spread of the virus. Market places have to be run shift system to help the traders adhere to social distance protocols” Dr Forkuo said.
“It is so pathetic that some people holding position some positions have failed to deliver. Not because they have intentionally failed but they don’t know any knowledge about how they can use their position to implement policies which will help Ghana”.
He added that “Lockdown will affect Ghana’s economy and government shouldn’t impose Lockdown but MMDCEs and others should regulate the system in their district and metropolis to reduce the spread”.
