James Kennedy thinks Jax Taylor will be a ‘great father’

James Kennedy thinks his “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Jax Taylor is going to be an “amazing dad.”

“I truly believe that,” the DJ told Page Six this week. “I think he’s going to be a great father. I’m really, really happy for them.”

Aside from Taylor, 41, and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, two other “Vanderpump Rules” couples — Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark and Lala Kent and Randall Emmett — are also expecting.

“I’m really happy for everybody,” Kennedy, 28, said. “It’s amazing to see everyone taking their relationships to the next level, starting families, and I’m so happy for everybody, Brittany, Lala, and Stassi. I’m happy for all three of them.”

The reality star said he and Taylor have been able to get to a better place in their friendship because of his sobriety.

“We’ve been fine ever since I stopped drinking and pretty much focused on the other things, the more positive things in my life,” he said. “I haven’t really had time or a need to be starting beef with anybody. I can’t be bothered with it anymore really.”

In July, Kennedy celebrated one year of being sober, writing on Instagram, “Letting go of drinking was the best decision I ever made and I’m going strong. I don’t miss the booze …… I don’t miss the feeling …. I’m so grateful for everything now and life has become more beautiful in many ways.”

He told us that being quarantined amid the pandemic has helped him stay on track.

“It’s a blessing every single day,” Kennedy said. “I don’t miss alcohol at all at this point, and I’m just so over the moon with the decision that I made to do this. It’s just made my life so much better.”

The DJ added that giving up drinking has allowed him to be “more productive,” leading him to release his first official remix via a major record label last week.

“I don’t wake up at home hungover,” he said. “I get up early and I can start making music and just do things that I enjoy … I think keeping a routine is really important.”

Kennedy said he has been focusing during quarantine on working out, eating healthy, making music, and spending time with girlfriend Raquel Leviss.

“I think these moments can be used for productivity and good vibes,” he said. “It’s all about perspective and staying positive.”
