Nigerian Man Shows Giant Monitor Lizard His Cousin Killed In His Farm- Readies For Pepper Soup- Photos

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share photos of a giant monitor his cousin killed in their farm earlier this week.

According to him, monitor lizards have been disturbing their farm by killing out the bushmeat caught by their traps and eating them. He added that although the deadly reptile is not as big as he wanted, it will be enough for two pots of pepper soup.

Monitor lizards are large lizards in the genus Varanus. They are native to Africa, Asia, and Oceania, but are now found also in the Americas as an invasive species. About 80 species are recognized. Monitor lizards have long necks, powerful tails and claws, and well-developed limbs.
