Three wounded in separate early Friday shootings in NYC

Three people were wounded in separate shootings in Brooklyn and Manhattan early Friday, according to police.

A 31-year-old man was blasted in the leg around 4:40 a.m. on Marion Street near Rockaway Avenue in Ocean Hill during a fight with another man, cops said.

The shooter took off, and the victim, listed in stable condition, was taken to Interfaith Medical Center by private means.

Earlier, a 22-year-old man was shot in the thigh, also during a fight with another man, on the grounds of the Lillian Wald Houses at East Houston Street and FDR Service Road around midnight.

He was taken to New York Downtown Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Around the same time, cabbie Perviaz Iqbal, 62, was shot at Bogart and Grattan streets in Williamsburg by a passenger irate over the fare.

In total on Thursday, three people were shot in three separate incidents across the city, according to preliminary figures.

The city saw the same number of shootings on that day last year.

Gotham has endured a recent citywide surge of shootings.

Counting all incidents this year through Thursday, the city tallied 1,109 shootings with 1,365 victims, according to police.

At that time last year, there were only 578 shootings with 677 victims.
