
Two police officers were shot in a confrontation with a suspect in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police sources said.
The officers were struck by gunfire near Church Avenue and Flatbush Avenue in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn soon before midnight, the sources said.
The officers were rushed to Kings County Hospital after the shooting. Their condition was not immediately known.
Police arrested one suspect at the scene.
The shooting comes amid mass protests and rioting in the city over the death of Minneapolis man George Floyd in police custody.
