Bandits Gathering In Kano forest And May Attack Us Soon – Ganduje

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has revealed that some bandits are gathering their forces to attack the state.

Ganduje disclosed the plan in a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. Farouk Yahaya in Abuja. According to him,  he wants the army to commence activities at the Falgore forest to thwart the plans of the bandits seeking to destroy the state.

Ganduje said: “My visit here today is to condole with the Nigerian Army over the death of the former Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and ten other officers.

“It was painful, it was untimely and sorrowful but we are consoled that they died in active service to the nation. I am also here to seek the help of the Nigerian Army to sustain the peace in Kano State; bandits have converted some forests in the state into hideouts.

“We are building houses, schools and hospitals for the herdsmen in some of the forests but we want the Army to commence activities at the Falgore forest.”

Recall Governor Ganduje recently called on all herdsmen affected by the ban on open grazing in the South to return to kano as there is now a modern construction of grazing site for animals going on at Dansoshiya hush in the state. Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje who reminded the huge hospitality Kano always gives to none Indigents, said Fulanis should be allowed to enjoy their safety across Nigeria.

In his words: “It is true that the oldest mood of cattle movement from one end to another, rather bread poverty and is no longer tenable.

“However, the way and manner Fulani headers are been subjected to untold maltreatment and agony in the Southern part of this country, is not acceptable and this should change because they are equally Nigerians, who have rights of living anywhere”.

“I recall how late Emir of Kano Ado Bayero, protected none indigents during civil war and for those who fled Kano living behind their properties everything was duly protected by the Emir including rents money realized was given to them when they returned back” he added.
