Man And His Wife Hacked To Death By Fulani Herdsmen In Benue

A man and his lovely wife have been hacked to death by suspected Fulani herdsmen. The gruesome incident was said to have happened in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to reports, the man called Igba Faga and his wife were coming back from the farm on motorcycle when they were attacked and hacked to death by the suspected fulani herdsmen. It was gathered that the eyes of the man were plucked out at the Udei Branch in Mbabi council ward of Guma, Wednesday, April 28.

The security adviser of Governor Samuel Ortom, Col Paul Hemba (retd) confirmed the horrible attack saying the herdsmen waylaid on the couple and hacked the lives out of them.

According to Col Paul, the couple died on the spot and their corpses have been conveyed to the cemetery for burial by family members.

This attack comes barely 24 hours after herdsmen attacked the IDP camp on Tuesday, where seven people lost their lives.

Meanwhile, in recent developments a traditional ruler called Chief Hyacinth Ajon and a man called Benjamin Anakula were murdered by suspected gunmen supposed to be Fulani militias in Benue State.

According to reports from residents, the traditional ruler and Benjamin were killed in the early hours of Wednesday, April 21 in Tse Zoola community, Makurdi Local Government Area of the state.

Aho Zoola, the eldest man in the community told newsmen that the village was attacked unexpectedly by the suspected Fulani gunmen at 2am. They shot periodically and killed the Chief and Benjamin.
