Photos Of 4 Inmates Who Escaped Custody In Jos Released By FG

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) has released the photos of four inmates who fleed from custody in Jos, Plateau State.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) shared photos of the inmates on Friday, July 9 in a post themed; Faces of inmates that escaped from Jos Custodial Centre.

The NCS stated that the detainees escaped about 2 a.m. on July 8 and asked members of the public to call the nearest police station if they had relevant information that could lead to the fugitives’ re-arrest.

The development was confirmed by Mr Samuel Aguda, the Controller- in-Charge of the command, to newsmen on Friday in Jos.

Aguda, who stated that the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, blamed the occurrence on incompetence on the part of staff on duty.

He said: “Yesterday [Thursday], at about 1 a.m., four suspects, who are awaiting trial over the kidnapping and armed robbery, escaped from our facility.

“When I came to the scene, I realised that it is either that they duplicated the key to the cell or there was serious negligence on the part of personnel on duty.

“The inmates escaped through the fence.”

In other news, a Nigerian man and his wife are currently having a cloud nine feeling after welcoming a set of twins after nine years of waiting.

Mr and Mrs Ekene welcomed twins and PJ Sunday, a Facebook user dropped the photos of the dedication of the children via social media. According to reports, the dedication of the twins took place on Sunday, July 4.

He wrote the photos;

“All glory to God as my brother Ekene and his beautiful wife dedicated their wonderful and amazing twins after nine years of waiting. Indeed nothing pass God. And what he can’t do, does not exist.”
