In a report by Instablog, the Hakika sect has allegedly been recruiting and indoctrinating adherents into their radical teachings.

The activities of the sect allegedly include non-adherence to five daily obligatory prayers, non-observance of Ramadan fast, promotion of fornication, and adultery, among other things.

A statement by the police indicated that the husband of the lady was the one who made the matter a public matter and was after he returned from Lagos where he has been more than a year seeking greener pastures only to find his wife with a four month-old-baby girl.

He discovered that she was impregnated by three members of the Hakika Islamic sect who deceived her and had sexual intercourse with her.

Upon seeing this, he made a report to the Danja Police Division and the police started investigations and the lady confessed that she had indicated an interest in joining the sect.
