FEED founder Lauren Bush Lauren has designed a practical way to give back.
On Tuesday her lifestyle brand introduced its latest charitable collab, the Polo x FEED Collection, to raise money for the fight against childhood hunger in America.
With every item sold from the utilitarian clothing and accessories line, 10% of the retail price will be donated to No Kid Hungry, a national campaign working to solve childhood food insecurity.
“The Polo x FEED Collection was created to help fight hunger here at home,” Bush Lauren told The Post. “Many Americans are struggling more than ever to make ends meet. Before the pandemic one in seven children in America was facing hunger or food insecurity, now that number is one in six.”
The 37-year-old social entrepreneur is the granddaughter of President George H.W. Bush. She is married to David Lauren, and the stylish couple welcomed their third child, son Robert Rocky Lauren, on April 10.
The busy mom created seven useful pieces — a polo shirt, a bucket hat, a large and mini tote, a backpack, a pouch and a unisex military jacket — priced between $68 and $498.
All the items except the polo shirt are made of fabric woven from recycled garment scraps with no added dyes. A canvas tag on each item indicates the number of meals the purchase will provide.
The capsule will launch on June 29 on RalphLauren.com, FeedProjects.com and the FEED Shop & Café in Brooklyn, as well as select Ralph Lauren stores.
On the same day, Polo Ralph Lauren and FEED will host an invite-only Feed Family Supper at Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn, near FEED’s retail store. Then on July 1, Polo x FEED will hold a Carousel takeover where the public can take donation-based carousel rides benefiting No Kid Hungry.
It’s a fun way for families to rally ’round the cause.
