One dead, three found unconscious in ‘suspicious’ incident in Queens

A 72-year-old man was stabbed to death inside a Queens apartment — where three others were found unconscious Thursday morning, according to police sources and officials.

Sources said the victim was stabbed multiple times by a 30-year-old man just after 8 a.m. inside the home on Hempstead Avenue in Queens Village.

Two women ages 70 and 29 and a 31-year-old man were found unconscious and unresponsive in the living room with no visible trauma, sources and officials said.

They were taken to North Shore University Hospital in critical condition.

The 30-year-old suspect was taken into custody, sources said. He was not injured.

The relationship of the victims was not immediately clear.

Tenants were rattled by the violence.

“I am very surprised. They’re a good, church-going family,” said one, who declided to give a name. “I don’t know what happened but whatever happened is inside the apartment.”
